FED: Govt allocates $500,000 funding for child abuse projects

CANBERRA, Feb 26 AAP - The federal government had allocated more than $500,000 in funding
for projects aimed at preventing child abuse, Community Services Minister Warren Truss said
today.

The funds form part of $12 million in funding over four years under the government's
Strengthening Families Strategy.

Mr Truss said 14 one-off projects had been selected from 149 applications from all states.
