NSW:$22.6m cannabis seized from Sydney homes

Nearly 23 million dollars worth of cannabis has been seized from houses in south-west
Sydney in less than six months.

Police raided 58 houses in the region since March, uncovering and destroying seven
thousand cannabis plants and 131 kilos of the drug.

The cannabis has an estimated potential street value of 22.6 million.

Eighteen people have been arrested and charged with 37 offences including drug cultivation,
drug possession, fraud and electricity theft.
